Earlier this week, Woodrow resident Frank Morano called upon the House Ethics Committee to investigate Grimm.

Neither body has announced any action against Grimm.

A story in last week's New York Times alleged that Grimm illegally took over-the-limit donations and over-the limit cash donations during his 2010 race, accepted contributions from foreigners without green cards and employed straw donors to hide sources of donations.

Grimm has denied the allegations and has been accused of no wrongdoing.

After issuing a denial statement over the weekend, Grimm has declined to address the allegations further. After returning from Florida, where he stumped for Mitt Romney and attended a GOP fundraiser over the weekend, Grimm has been in Washington, D.C.

Grimm's biggest booster, former Borough President Guy Molinari, has also been mum since news of the allegations broke.
